Dear Anyone.
I've got a LEGIT Sampletank 4, I got the whole lot as a cheap sales purchase for £50-ish. It came with Miroslav Orchestra. I've unzipped/installed each of the Miroslav Orchestra zipfiles onto Drive F because my C drive is too small and there's 160-ish gig of stuff here! All of the zipfiles came up 'Process Successful' (or similar wording, they all said they'd worked.)
Now hang onto the above and tell me if I'm wrong in this bit. Sampletank Instruments are .STI files, am I right? (Sample Tank Instruments) And they point to where the .PAK files containing the actual samples are - again, am I right? So Sampletank reads the .STI, grabs the .PAK and plays the sounds from the .PAK. If I'm wrong in any of this, tell me!
Because I can't find a .STI file anywhere. I've got gigs and gigs and more gigs of .PAK files everywhere, not an .STI file in sight. OK, so I know I regally suck at installing ANYTHING but this one's a worldbeater even by my standards. Assuming I'm right about how the system works, see paragraph above, how do I get my hands on the .STI files, where's Sampletank putting them? I've searched Drive C, nope, nada. And Drive F, nope, nada. Yes there's a pile on Drive D but I'm 90% sure they're for an older version of Sampletank, in fact I'd forgotten I still had them. I had Sampletank 2.5 at one point but lost it in a hard-drive crash years ago.
I'm pretty sure I've got all the SOUNDS, there's 160-ish gig of PAK files going on. How do I make Sampletank USE them!?!
Yours very puzzledly,
Chris.
