I'm a great fan of UJAM.
They build a lot of quick results kind of instruments, and I love that.
I have a number of their drums/guitars/effects plugins, but only a couple of their synth plugins (and at least one of those was free). I guess that after enough years that one goes beyond the quick results stuff in general synths, and starts looking at uniqueness, finesse, and control in that area (and something different than what one already has) But for those in the market for quick results, sure, why not.
