FL however, continues to show the error message, and even though I deleted both the 32bit folder and the 64, FL still manages to find the 32bit dll when I ran a scan.
Then you probably have another copy somewhere. Go into the plugin manager, locate Plex2 in the list and click on it. Switch to Plugin on the left to see the file location.

If you have another copy of the .dll, but the other folders are missing from that location, it would explain the behaviour.

As an aside, if you have chosen to merge 32 and 64 bit plugins, it shouldn't matter which one your project uses, you should only need to install the 64-bit version.
Yeah that fixed it. There were 2 duplicate copies. I'd copied a load of really old vsts and put them in a folder called, strangely enough, "old VSTs". The kind of thing that was abandoned and you're lucky if you find on the wayback machine because it's disappeared everywhere else. There were a few loose dll files in there, and then I installed it again into it's own folder. So I guess when I told FL to load Plex.dll, it was trying to load both at the same time or something.

It's got sound now in both FL and Bitwig, so thank you. Really appreciate your help getting this to play ball. Cheers !! =)
