Yeah, doesn't feel good, if you continuously regretting that you have renewed Bitwig plan... I think I won't upgrade anymore at all, or switch DAW. Announcements are vague in best case, time schedules are regularly broken. It is nice to see they have fun with their new audio interface (also looks high quality as usual), but I did pay for that indirectly, and I had no choice.
Ableton looks quite good now! I will miss the modulation system though. Hope one day Ableton will support CLAP and per-voice modulation. Pianoroll and sequencer view already are much better, and in the end, these elementary things in a DAW count the most. The pricing is high, but you will also get constant, really impressive updates, over five years or so. I prefer this payment model much more. I also spend already like 600++ euro for Bitwig?
Sorry, I am kind of tired of this topic. And I simply do not like any kind of subscription like payment model. I don't know a single case where this lead into better, faster, more constant updates. All the companies I know prove the opposite. And this is very normal due to human nature... The time pressure part of any subscription just is annoying.
