Interesting. In my case, any plugin that has caused a DAW crash even once goes straight to the trash forever. I’m not interested in figuring out the cause of the crash or corresponding with tech support — I didn’t sign up to be a beta tester. Every self-respecting plugin developer should thoroughly test their product for an extended period before release.
For me, the reliability and fault tolerance of software are far more important than sound quality. A simple and dependable car is a much more reasonable purchase from any perspective than a high-tech spaceship on wheels that’s always breaking down.
