And it's the same dang thing I've said privately and publicly for years. I did spend some time producing in early y2k before shifting gears and being a technical writer for a software company for the next 15. I would turn down gigs where a said "artist" demanded I use pro tools even though I had the software it wasn't worth the hassle. In that era the "Earner DAW" that would go to Vegas (not sony) ACID.

So I've had most of the big player daws over the years since windows 3.1 Starting with Cakewalk Home Studio. Today It's 95% Cubase 14 and 5% Mixcraft. All else I've banished from my computer.

I had Pro Tools when money was on the line and I was producing artists who demanded it but I hated it. Gave up on bitwig and Ableton Live and Studio Live and Sonar and Samplitude. I don't need to know umteen different systems. And I don't need to fight ones that dont work for me and never will.

Do you think about daws differently as a guitar centric
