I get that this is a troll thread and deserves your troll answer, but in all seriousness, why are we still talking about this? There’s probably many encyclopedias worth of posts examining the pros, cons and differences.

I have a Hydrasynth and I definitely have a bunch of plugins that sound better. But I actually think the oscs and filters are ok. It's the effects that suck. Turning them off and running it through something better is a big improvement.
I have an Apollo so I'll typically add some effects in console

Then again lots of things sound pretty good if you give them credit for how they sound with UAD added on
