They don't care, they are doing everything for money. They are a big company that has no obligation to be honorable to customers- you either deal with it or not (you can voice your opinion in hopes which may be a far cry).
Same thing happened to Magic: The Gathering who was bought by Hasbro- if anyone is familiar with that game. They totally obliterated the trust -- while simultaneously pumping out watered down product -- of the secondary market by reprinting cards they said they would never; and technically they didn't, but did, which was a stretching of their policy... Big companies will sacrifice old users for new ones as a viable strategy.
