In Windows, it look like it only can downscale the movements from a USB mouse, or keep the ratio at a maximum of 1:1 if 'Enhance pointer precision' is not activated. What can you expect on Windows, Linux and Apple stuff.
Do plugs and DAW's sometimes read the fraction or do some DAW's and plugs always read it?
What can you expect?
For example, most likely the movement will be read as relative movement (and the mouse pointer will be hidden). Does the same apply? Does it make a difference?
And how is this (the mouse movement) used to be handled on different platforms (plugins and DAW's)? And what is a good policy to think about this, when making plugs for several platforms?
Some insight on this would be very helpful, as I think this may be overlooked how these things are affect stuff in practice when making plugs.
