I think you’re missing the point of what Enso and other audio loopers like it are trying to do. They’re not so much about just recording and using loops for your track, but more for live looping as a musical technique. This is a pretty old technique that used to use reel to reel tape decks, and was made popular by artists like Brian Eno and Robert Fripp.

This isn’t me, but I used to to a lot of shows that used this exact technique.
