Roger Linn Design • Re: playing surface not attached equally tight

I had the same, bubble, and I got it out re-doing the top panel. Perfectly flush now.

One thing I was wondering, it looks like the LEDs are not “perfectly” aligned with the rubber mat across the mat. Left side is, middle and right might be a millimeter off (look at the “c note” bumps).

Would this have any impact at all?

My guess is that when you re-attached the top panel that you didn’t quite get the alignment right. Just try it again, being careful to align it correctly. I’m not sure when you did the replacement but I’ve posted a new video containing a better explanation of how to align it correctly. From the LinnStrument Support page, click “Installing Replacement Parts” and read the instructions toward the bottom about “Replacing the top panel or playing surface”.
