Newer Arturia synths are definitely better - sound quality is better, and presets are better. I told them they need to improve, and they listenedBy the way, if people see this synth solely as an Italo Disco instrument, they're missing out. It has a nice lush sound. I think I might even consider it one of their best analog emulations.
ASIO usage is higher though, you can't have great sound without lots of DSP.
The problem is almost NO ONE does multithreading, and certainly not like U-he. With a couple of tricks, I can run almost 90 voices of most demanding Diva patches, divine quality, on a quite old CPU. Not a single glitch.
But there's no multithreading on Arturia synths, and that sucks in 2024... If you need full polyphony on some Synthx patches, you need to duplicate plugin, split tracks etc. which is just boring.
WE NEED DIVA STYLE MULTITHREADING ON ALL VSTIS, ESPECIALLY ARTURIA.
Yes you can buy CPU with strong single thread today, but when you think about it, many of these older CPUs are not "weak" but UNDERUTILIZED because no one but U-he made effort to implement multithreading properly!
