I’d like to be able to insert an ADSR-controlled filter on a layer and then it actually filters the layer. Easily. Without searching the internet for three days.

I’ve lost hours trying to understand how this mut#@fu€kin filter could finally filter my layer, and I succeedeed once or twice, but the next time I needed to add one I just forgot !! There are layers everywhere, it’s not the only synth I’m using, I’m not making presets every single day for Falcon !...

Something is definitely wrong with the workflow.

Maybe... if an action produces nothing anywhere, it could be grayed or something... you end up inserting filters at every level and adding virtual connexions in every direction hoping to find the right one... and nothing changes anything...

And the weird thing is that nearly everything else seems super intuitive to me. Excepted two things. Where to find the "expansions" (I mean the purchased external soundbanks, I always open five to seven menus before I find them), and this Hell of a filter !
Looks like that is not possible. On the bottom of page 18 of the manual it says "NOTE: Triggering envelopes only work on KEYGROUPS level, not on LAYER nor PROGRAM level."

Try this:

Program Mode Workaround:

The fact that only the Keygroup level captures the pressed midi keys. The upper levels (Layer,
Program) are not.
Now, if you want to place a filter, you can do it at Keygroup level and add the envelope at that level and it works as you may expect.
For the same effect but at the upper levels, there is a workaround, read carefully:
- place the filter at Progam level
- place a Gain module at Keygroup level and deactivate it
- add modulation (new analog ADSR) for the Gain module AT PROGRAM LEVEL and change the trigger mode to Legator
- finally, modulate the Filter at Program level witht the new ADSR you created at the same
Program level
Explanation: the envelope gets triggered because it is associated to a parameter in Keygroup level and it further triggers any other destinations (in this case the cutoff)
Thank you very, very much. Will copy this as a textfile on my desktop. :tu:
