OS's are designed for the average user so that often means some features are more barebones than one might want. It also makes it easier for the developers to maintain.As someone who has been in tech nearly 40 years, I dont see from the philosophy that we should build 3rd party tools to make it *even easier* to do basic systems administration rather than teaching basic systems admin, such as knowing how to set a simple defender exception in that *extremely minimal* menu system microsoft provides for it. A 3rd party app would be hard pressed to be more efficient and simple than the native interface, and would involved lol figuring out how to install and configure a 3rd party app. This maximal philosophy isnt one I follow, and I train end-users to be more informed whether they like it or not.
