Living with constant regret over accidentally ruining his early 1980's golden goose cash-cow, "Dial-a-Haiku", which was making him a real pretty penny for a few years but then he got greedy and changed it to "Dial-a-Soliloquy", which crashed and burned badly, shunned by angry haiku fans. After several months, he tried to switch it back but the damage was done.
He then tried to start up the "Dial-a-Question" line, but that made callers even more angry because they wanted to know the answer to the complex questions being asked.
He lays alone at night with his "what if" questions replaying over and over in his mind, always in haiku form.
