As regards "switching on all the lights":

Only one column of the 26 columns is turned on at a time in order to save power.

If there was enough power would we be able to light all 26 columns concurrently, theoretically speaking, or are there other things to take into consideration as well? (I realise it would likely not be trivial to implement on the firmware side, just curious as to the possibility.)

(edit: calibration ok! I'm more comfortable moving right to left so I simply reorientated the board for the second passes)
