what passes as BASS for some people is questionable.

make a 'helicopter' bassline, or use a bassline with a couple of 16th notes in succession... turn the filter off or very low, squidge the high pass up a bit until you get some big ass bass, maybe tame it by increasing res on the main filter... shorten your envelope parameters so you get some quick but powerful pulsating bass notes. turn the the release down, click click click, some kind of crossover point issue, perhaps just emulating what happens on an actual OB-1, either way, it's crap.
It's the attack that's clicking, release just stops it from happening because the envelope doesn't get a chance to decay to zero. Can you hear it in a mix? Does it even matter if you can? It's been a thing with pretty much every hardware synth I've ever owned. I imagine it is there in the hardware OB-1 and, therefore, needs to be in this, too, lest purists complain that it doesn't sound authentic. Such is the nature of the world we live in.

BTW, I have no idea what a "helicopter bassline" is. An internet search was not helpful, either.
