I've just tried this with Sylenth and it works great. But I find it easier using the mouse to move the cursor and then use one knob to edit whatever is under the cursor. This works for all parameters, even if not specified with a dot.
But it is handy to use knobs to move the cursor. Just can be cumbersome with some synth layouts. The cursor doesn't follow the expected movement at times.
